Dr. Míria de Amorim is a researcher at the Clinical Environmental and Occupational Toxicology Outpatient Clinic of HUCFF/UFRJ.

She is an expert in Homeopathy from the Hahnemanniano Institute of Brazil.

Dr. Amorim is also the creator of the Therapeutic Methodology of the Biofield Self-Organization Factors (BioFAO). She is the founder and president of the FAO Institute, a non-profit research and study organization that works with Education (training doctors in BioFAO therapy), Research (studies, scientific articles, and books), and Extension (community project services and Integrative Journeys). In 2016, Dr. Amorim updated the BioFAO course with new materials. The updated course includes Module IV, which consists of 8 parts with a total duration of 262 minutes.
