How do I complete the course?

  3. Take the test. (You must score 80% to pass. If you do not pass, you may retake the test.)

  4. Print your certificate of completion.

What happens after I complete the course?

Once you complete the videos and articles, there will be a quiz for participants to take. Once participants have passed this introductory quiz, they will be granted access to the seminar sign up portal. This portal will allow participants to be able to sign up for in person seminars. After participants have completed the Introductory quiz and the in-person seminars, you will be able to take the final exam, which will be comprehensive. After completing the final exam, participants will be certified, Rethinking the Big Patterns coaches.

When will the seminars be?

There are three foundational seminars for Rethinking the Big Patterns. These seminars are Control Patterns, Athletic Patterns, and Resistance Training Patterns. Seminars are planning to be held in-person. You will need to attend in person to get your certification. Locations, dates, and time to be announced soon.

How do I get certified?

To get certified, you must complete the Introductory course and quiz and the in-person seminars. Once complete, you will be able to take the final exam, which will be comprehensive. After passing the final exam, participants will be certified, Rethinking the Big Patterns coaches.

Can I earn CEUs from this course?

Yes, RTBP will offer CEU credits on a per unit basis towards NSCA (0.8 CEUs), NASM (0.8 CEUs), and AFAA (8 CEUs). You can earn CEUs for the Introductory course, and additionally for each seminar and once you become certified.

“Regardless of the type of movement/exercise/training practice that a person chooses to engage with, there should be some progression they can follow to take them from the ranks of entry level to intermediate to advanced practitioner. Not all who begin an exercise practice are capable of reaching the level of being an advanced trainee, but such a logical, sequential progression—one based on fundamental principles—should be the backbone of any discipline’s training model.

This program is not intended to reach into movement realms, such as yoga, Pilates, or dance. Rather, this program will focus on forms of exercise primarily aimed at creating large scale, measurable physiological adaptations.”
