Hi! My name is Julien and I am the instructor of EatTheBlocks Pro.
I am a senior Blockchain software engineer. I used to work in Finance, and I switched to software development 6 years ago.
For the past 3 years, I have been building Dapps and Solidity smart contracts for several Ethereum and ICOs projects, including Lendingblock, an institutional crypto lending exchange.
I run EatTheBlocks, a youtube channel for Ethereum developers. I have also published a Blockchain course for Manning.
I also contribute to the code of Drizzle and I spoke at TruffleCon 2019 on Drizzle.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference with the EatTheBlocks Youtube channel?
EatTheBlocks is a free Youtube channel where I also teach Ethereum & smart contracts. Both EatTheBlocks (Youtube channel) and EatTheBlocks Pro (this course) teach Ethereum & smart contracts. However, EatTheBlocks Pro only teaches basic topic, while EatTheBlocks Pro goes further and teaches advanced to Advanced topics. In addition, on EatTheBlocks Pro you will find a lot of full-projects where we build a Dapp from A to Z, whereas on EatTheBlocks (the Youtube channel) we generally stick to one-off videos without really building full-fledged applications. Also, on EatTheBlocks Pro, you get access to: * private telegram chat group * private one-on-one coaching with me, Julien (if you choose the Premium membership).
What are the topics covered?
Ethereum Dapp development, smart contract development, smart contract security, smart contract testing (TDD), continuous integration, Dapp architecture and design, and more!
Do you cover only Ethereum?
Yes! Contrary to most other Ethereum course, EatTheBlocks Pro is the only one that focuses only on Ethereum. A lot of students make the mistake to try to learn too many different Blockchains at the same time. Ethereum ecosystem is way bigger than all the other Blockchain and because of the law of network effects it is extremely likely that most DApp will be built on Ethereum. That’s why I recommend to focus only on Ethereum. With enough focus, you will be able to put in enough work and become really good at one Blockchain instead of just dabbling in several (which will NOT land you jobs by the way…)
What are the libraries / languages covered?
We will use the latest tools, libraries and languages: Solidity, Remix, Ganache, Truffle, Drizzle, Nodejs/Javascript/ES6, React, Webpack.
Do you provide the code for the videos?
Yes! Everything is publicly available on a git repo
Can you help me if I am stuck somewhere / can I ask you questions?
Yes! You can find me and other students on the private telegram chat group and ask all the questions you want! If you subscribed to the Premium membership plan, you can also have 1h of skype coaching every month!
How long do I keep access to the courses?
How does lifetime access sound? After enrolling, you have unlimited access to this course for as long as you like – across any and all devices you own.
What kind of computer / OS do I need to follow?
You can follow the courses with recent versions of Windows, Linux on MacOS.
What is the level required to follow the courses?
It’s preferable if you already have at least 1y of experience in web development.
How often do you upload new content?
I release at least one new video per week, and some weeks more than that!
Can I cancel my membership at anytime?
Yes you can. No questions asked :)
